I'VE BEEN WITH GODADDY FOR OVER 3 YEARS. I HAVE OVER 60 DOMAIN NAMES AND SEVERAL HOSTING ACCOUNTS. RECENTLY I WAS CHARGED OVER $175 FOR SERVICES I NEVER EVER RECEIVED. ACTUALLY FOR EXAMPLE A DOMAIN NAME I WAS INCLUDED THEY NEVER EVER SENT ME THE SERVICE UNTIL I COMPLAINED. BY THIS TIME I WANTED A REFUND FOR ONLY A FEW OF THE CHARGES TOTALING $65 AND IT WAS DENIED. THEY HAVE NO- I MEAN NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! HORRIBLE! I WAS THERE IN THE BEGINNING FOR THEIR LOW PRICES A DOMAIN USED TO BE 9.99 A DOMAIN, NOW THEY START AT 14.99-18.99. HOSTING HAS ALSO INCREASED. THE SUPPORT IS OK. HOWEVER, BILLING IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNACCEPTABLE. HOW CAN GODADDY.COM BE ONE OF THE TOP COMPANIES WHEN THEY TREAT A REGULAR CUSTOMER SO BADLY THAT HAS SPENT SO MUCH MONEY WITH THEM?

I have used GoDaddy for one year. I like a lot of what they do and believed that I could use short term sites for events that we do. However, one domain got protected (my fault) that I did not to renew. The protection means they automatically charge for the domain name and they automatically charge for another year of protection (which means they automatically renew the next year as well.) My credit card expired so I thought I would be ok since they couldn't charge it. However,they paid Visa to update their system and because I didn't have that service blocked on my card they were able to charge my new card. They told me Visa did it automatically but Visa informs me that people have to pay for the updating service. Then they required specific info to cancel the site. This is prudent since it was protected. However, they won't accept any of the documents they required and that I have submitted and to top it off they will only coorespond by email. You cannot resolve this with a live person. I had to cancel my credit card and had to dispute the charges to stop them from automatically taking money from me every year. The system is set up to make sure you will continue to get billed and by providing no human contact they guarentee it. Luckily this one credit card had all the bills coming to it so I will be able to cut them off since I stopped automatic update from Visa too. Sneaky and underhanded - sad that a good experience with them has to end this way.

GoDaddy is a decent hosting platform. They have great service reps, however they often try to upsell you on some services.
The biggest problem I have seen is that some of my clients host their email with them. It works most of the time but about once a month the services seems to get overloaded causing users to complain that their email is not working correctly. This usually goes away in a day or two.

I have signed up for their hosting on two personal sites recently. One site is running fine, was easy to set up and I didnt have to contact them about any problems. However, the second site which I started to build after the first, has not even gotten off the ground yet. I have got a "pending account change" warning and cant get past it. I ordered the hosting on a Sunday and found the problem. On Monday they said it would be corrected in 24 hours. On Tuesday they said it would be taken care of within 24 hours, but most likely within 6. On Wednesday, they said 24 hours. I got sick of calling, and went out of town, so I waited until the next Sunday to check on the problem. The problem was still there. I called and the person then said it was a serious problem and went to a "different level of tech support," whatever that means. He said the problem would be taken care of within 24 -48 hours. Its now 72 hours from that point and the problem persists. So, in all, its been 10 days since I signed up for a hosting plan and I do not even have access to my account and have no idea when it will be fixed. I have started to look for other hosting sites hoping that the tech support will be knowledgeable and honest. I chose them because many podcasts I watch and believe in have them as sponsors. They were also relatively cheap with promo codes from those podcasts. This sours me on the whole situation and I am extremely angry at godaddy for being the tech horror story you hear about, but never experience, that is until now.

I have been hosting with GoDaddy for about 7 months now. I have absolutely loved them. They have 24/7 customer support, which SPEAKS ENGLISH! They have many reasonable plans to choose from. I think they are the #1 registrar for a reason ;) .

Go the GoDaddy way!

I have read the contract.No honest vendor would propose it and no sane vendee would agree to it.

i have been using the delux hosting since an yr back. it has lots of bugs, i have told them, bu they ust ignored. their resellers are just a mount of shit. their email serices are pathetic. :((
Stay away of godaddy

Anyone who ever takes the time to read GoDaddy's contract will never agree to it's terms,unless they are a complete idiot.

It is an unconscionable,unilateral contract which gives them the unfettered right to your bank account and to pay their attorney fees without any accountability on their part.STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was automatically rebilled today after never being warned that it was an automatic custom of theirs to charge $20 to your account. They never once tell you that auto-renewal is on and they conveniently don't e-mail you about your domain expiring (which is obviously an important e-mail to receive and all other places DO THIS!) and charge you. They refused to refund it even though it was still waiting in authorization and could have easily been reversed.
These people are the rudest, sneakiest jerks. Not only that the service is sub-par, terribly priced, and they'll send you spam in the form of snail mail and call you.

Do not use Godaddy!

Unresponsive line-level staff, arrogant management team, refuses to accept responsibility for their actions - nonchalant about my business. I took my business elsewhere.
