to this review here I really don't see what the fuss is. I've been with 1dollarhosting for several years. My experience is that Phil Shapiro (the CEO) will personally answer emails (though it may take a couple of days). Although the site advertises only email support - whenever I've called, I've most always talked to someone who has helped. Someday I might decide to switch hosting companies because of certain requirements I might have in the future but not because I felt ripped-off. For now I'm staying with them. In fact, since my last post I give them a higher rating now. I still say it's simply very hard to beat hosting for $1/mo!!

This is obviously a plant from a company that is going down. Check out their terms of service and try to follow the link to cancel the service. It doesn't exist and hasn't existed since 2004 (check archive.org) They rope you in with supposedly cheap service and then try and force you to stay forever. I have contacted the Ventura district attorney's office and the attorney General of Ca. Make sure you check the BBB.org website to see what they are REALLY about.
